LANSING, Mich.--Bellarmine University women's volleyball team got a solid effort in nearly all facets of the game as the Knights rolled over Lake Superior State 25-15, 25-15, 25-17 this afternoon in the opening round of the GLIAC-GLVC Crossover Tournament.

Lauren Gosnell provided the Knights a bit of a spark, hitting for a .556 attack percentage, recording five kills with no attack errors.

Krucki had a phenomenal blocking game, and we were good serving and on defense," he said, adding "(Lauren) Gosnell came in and played really, really well."
Offensively, the Knights were led by
Emily Beckman who registered 16 kills while hitting .406 on the match. Defensively,
Kaitlan Harris and
Austin Ziegler both had double digit digs with 17 and 10 respectively, and Krucki had three solo blocks and two assisted blocks.
Caryn Schoeff handled the setting duties, dishing up 28 assists.
Bellarmine improved to 8-6 on the season, while the Lakers fall to 2-17.
The Knights will play their final two matches of the tournament tomorrow, facing Lake Erie College at 10 a.m. and Ashland University at 3 p.m.
The Crossover Tournament pits teams from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference against teams from the Great Lakes Valley Conference. In all, 45 matches will be played at the Aim High Complex in Lansing, Mich.
