MADISON, Ill.--The Bellarmine women's golf team is in a tie for third after the opening 18 holes of the Triton Invitational being held at Gateway National in Madison, Ill.
The Knights, who are competing with just four players due to class conflicts, got solid play from everyone and posted a 318 team score. Bellarmine was led by
Sarah DuPlessis, who is tied for fourth overall, with a 76. Junior
Jessica Storch also posted a good round firing a 79 to secure a top 20 placement.
Southern Indiana leads the field with a 312, and the Screaming Eagles' Jess Dooley is the low individual at 72 (+1).
The final 18 is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. (CT) with a shotgun start.
