MADISON, Ill.--The Bellarmine University women's golf team posted a second round 322 to finish at 640 and tie for sixth in the 20-team field of the Triton Invitational hosted by the University of Missouri-St. Louis at Gateway National Golf Links.
The Knights, who were competing with just four players due to class conflicts, were led by senior
Sarah DuPlessis who finished at 153 (76, 77), which placed her in a tie for fourth overall. All four Bellarmine players finished in the top 40 of the 121-player field. Other Bellarmine scores included:
Jessica Storch159 (79, 80),
Allison Dooley 162 (82, 80) and
Maggie Schad 166 (81-85).
The host school, University of Missouri-St. Louis, took the team and individual championships as the Tritons posted a two-day total of 629, led by medalist Sweta Galande, who shot a final round 73 to post a final score of 149.
Bellarmine concludes its fall schedule with The Pat Clouse Invitational at Windy Knoll Golf Course in Springfield, Ohio on Oct. 10 and 11.
