LOUISVILLE, Ky.--Bellarmine University sophomore Kylie Brady drove the lane for a layup with 3.9 seconds remaining on the clock to propel the Knights to a 79-77 victory over the Hillsdale Chargers this afternoon in the MetroMedical Solutions Thanksgiving Classic at Knights Hall.

Brady finished the game with 22 points and dished out six assists to lead Bellarmine in both offensive categories.  Freshman Jalissa Chatlos claimed 14 rebounds to tie a career high, and senior Brittany Edelen had another strong performance for the Knights with 17 points, seven rebounds, and four blocked shots.

Hillsdale (0-3) was led by Janey Miller who put up 17 points before exiting the game with five fouls.  Laura Barczak added 16 points and led the Chargers with nine rebounds.

Bellarmine (3-0) stormed out of the gates and took a commanding 22-4 lead in the game's first seven minutes. The Chargers--aided by 23 Bellarmine turnovers--never gave up, however, and came back to make it a close game.  Hillsdale took their first lead of the game at 64-62 when Emily Anderson hit a layup with 8:10 remaining.

From that point on the game remained close and wasn't decided until a desperation 3-pointer by Hillsdale glanced off the rim as the horn sounded to end the game.

The Knights face St. Francis (Ind.) tomorrow at 3 p.m. in the final game of the MetroMedical Solutions Thanksgiving Classic.  Earlier today, the Cougars fell 76-61 to the University of Southern Indiana.  Tomorrow's opening game will feature USI taking on Hillsdale.
