LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Aug. 5, 2009)--The Bellarmine Dance Team received a bid to attend the Collegiate National Dance Association Championships next April after a stellar performance at the NDA camp held at the University of Louisville this past weekend.

During the three day camp, the Bellarmine Dance Team earned a superior ribbon, the highest rating possible, for their "Team Dance" performance. They also received a trophy for placing third in the Team Dance competition for NCAA Division I and II schools.

Additionally, the Knights received a Spirit Stick for their enthusiasm, teamwork, and good attitudes.

Junior Lena Geary and Sophomore Suzanne Pottratz were nominated by the NDA staff to audition for the All-American Team. While both gave stellar performances, Lena's performance earned her a position on the team.

The Bellarmine dance team is under the direction of coaches Christy Minton-Schnieders and Janine Klutka.
