LOUISVILLE, Ky. (July 9, 2009)--Bellarmine junior Sarah DuPlessis capped a stellar junior season by being named to the 11-member All-Great Lakes Valley Conference team.
The Elizabethtown, Ky., native (Elizabethtown H.S.) averaged 79.5 on the season, during which she won two tournaments. DuPlessis also became the first women's golfer in Bellarmine history to break 70 during a collegiate round when she shot 69 in winning the Jim English/Centre Invitational last fall, and she became the first Knight to record a hole-in-one when she aced the 155-yard 7th hole at Gateway National G. C. during the Triton Invitational in October. She also qualified for the NCAA Division II East Regional, where she finished 21st.
