GREENCASTLE, Ind. (Sept. 23, 2009)—The Bellarmine University field hockey team lost 2-0 today to DePauw University as the home team posted two first half goals and made them stand up for the win.
The Knights outshot their hosts 17-11 and held a 10-5 edge in penalty corners, but could not take advantage. DePauw goalkeeper Liz Attewell posted five saves in helping preserve the win for the Tigers.
Bellarmine now stands an even 5-5 on the season, while DePauw ups their record to the .500 mark at 4-4.
The Knights field hockey squad hits the road this weekend for games at Lindenwood University on Saturday and St. Louis University on Sunday.
