Bellarmine’s Women’s Cross Country Team rises to 7th in Regional Rankings

LOUISVILLE, Ky--The women's cross country team leaped to seventh in the regional rankings this week after the showing they had at the National Catholic Invitational. The team is ranked No. 7 in the Midwest region in the U.S Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

 

This season the Knights are getting great performances from a number of different student-althletes.  Carissa Martin has clocked the third-fasted 5K time in the conference this year with 18:55 time this past weedend.  Bellarmine's Meghan Shagena and Lindsay Boyce also have top 10 GLVC times this year. 
 

The women's cross country team will hit the terrain again on Saturday, Sept. 26 in Evansville for the NCAA DII Pre-Nationals. The starter's pistol will fire at 10 a.m.
