LOUISVILLE, Ky.--The Bellarmine University men's soccer team rolled past the Maryville Saints 6-1 tonight in a Great Lakes Valley Conference match at Owsley B. Frazier Stadium tonight.
The Knights got two goals apiece from
Jack Binns (Goole, England, John Leggott College) and
Bradley Barraclough (Lincoln, England, Lincoln College ) as Bellarmine improved to 8-4-1, 6-4-1 GLVC. Also tallying scores for the Knights were
Ross Hopkins (Skerries, Ireland, Colaiste Ide College ) and Robert
Robert Bowling (West Chester, Ohio, Lakota West).
Bellarmine dominated play from the outset with Barraclough scoring just 4:39 into the proceedings. The Knights owned a 23-6 shot advantage on the night, including an 11-3 edge in shots on goal.
Maryville (1-11, 1-10 GLVC) got on the board late in the first half when Tim Lyons slipped a header past Bellarmine goalkeeper
Matthew Soyka (Racine, Wisc., Case) on a free kick.
The Knights return to action Sunday at 2:30 p.m. when they will face Missouri S & T in their final home game of the season.
