LOUISVILLE--The Bellarmine University women's tennis team opened its spring campaign with a 6-3 victory over Georgetown College today at the Eddie Weber Tennis Complex on Bellarmine's campus.
Rebecca Porter helped the Bellarmine cause with victories in No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles, and Emily Roebker also helped garner two points for the Knights with victories and No. 3 singles and No. 1 doubles.
"This was a good test against a tough opponent," Bellarmine Coach John Mican said. "Emily and Becca at number 1 doubles had a great match which came down to the wire. Becca then played some great tennis to secure the win at number one singles while Emily was relentless in her singles win at number three."
