NOTRE DAME, Ind.-The Bellarmine University Men's Cross Country team, ranked 24th in the national preseason poll, continues to run well, winning the Division II level of the 2010 National Catholic Cross Country Invitational this afternoon on the campus of Notre Dame.
Jordan Parayil (West Chester, Ohio, Lakota West) led the way for the Knights finishing 16th overall and first among all Division II runners. Finishing just behind him were Junior
Nate Dotterweich (Monticello, Iowa, Monticello) (28th overall; fifth among Division II runners) and Senior
Justin Smith (Lexington, Ky., Paul Dunbar) (33rd overall; seventh among Division II runners).
The weather played no factor in the Knights performance as it was a perfect 70 degree, windless day at Notre Dame.
The team gets a weekend off, but will look to keep on rolling on Oct. 2 at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park for the 9th Greater Louisville Classic. The meet begins at 9 a.m. ET.
