LOUISVILLE, Ky.—The Bellarmine University women's basketball returned to action on Thursday night and dropped an 85-73 game to the visiting Drury Panthers.
The Panthers (8-4, 4-0 GLVC)used a balanced attack that saw six players score in double figures behind Kassie Walker's game high 19 points.
Junior
Lauren Jones led the Knights (7-6, 2-3 GLVC) in scoring, going for 17 points, while
Allison Matheis and
Betsy Goodin each chipped in 16. Goodin, whose 16 points is a career high, was a perfect 5-5 from the field and 5-6 from the free throw line.
The Knights hung tough on the boards, being outrebounded 28-26, as they were without
Jalissa Chatlos and her 6.6 rebounds per game again as she sat out with a leg injury.
The Panthers shot lights out from behind the arc as they connected on 14-20 three pointers, many of which were contested.
Bellarmine will return to action on Saturday as they welcome Rockhurst University to Knights Hall for a 1:00 p.m. tip-off.
