TIFFIN, Ohio--The Bellarmine University men's soccer team dropped its season opener with a 3-2 road loss to the Tiffin Dragons this evening in a non-conference matchup.

The host Dragons bolted out to a 2-0 halftime lead then scored early in the second half to go up 3-0 in the game's 52nd minute.  The Knights charged back with two late goals by Shane Mihaljevic on assists by Jacob Kaye and Jack Binns, but Bellarmine (0-1) ran out of time as Tiffin (1-0) held on for the win in their season opener.

Bellarmine came back to outshoot the Dragons 12-3 in the second period, and the visitors held a 15-12 shot advantage for the game. However, the Knights recorded only six shots on goal compared to seven for the home team.

The Knights now travel to Findlay, Ohio where they will meet the University of Findlay Oilers in a Sunday contest. Start time is scheduled for 2:30 p.m..
