The Bellarmine University men's tennis team overcame cold temperatures to come away with a dominating 9-0 win at Franklin College in their last match of the fall campaign. 

The Grizzlies hung tough in the doubles matches, but the Knights soon warmed up and secured wins in all three matches with Jacob Knagenhjelm and Carlos Antonioli winning 8-1, Nathan Walroth and Logan Knott winning 8-5, and Alan Gardiner and Jonathon Staff winning 8-3. Following the sweep of doubles and entering singles the Knights had a controlling 3-0 lead.
 
After Knagenhjelm posted a 6-2, 6-1 win, Antonioli clinched the match for the Knights with a convincing 6-0, 6-0 victory at number two singles while picking up his ninth win of the fall season.  Coach John Mican has been thrilled with Antonioli's fall performance. "Not only does Carlos provide us with strong leadership, but the doubles he is playing with Jacob right now is very impressive." 

Also having a successful fall season has been freshman  newcomer Nathan Walroth who picked up two more wins moving his fall record to 12-5 and tying him with ITA finalist Anton Rabinov, for the team lead in wins. Mican said of Waldroth's freshman season, “Nathan has adjusted well to college tennis and has improved dramatically over the last six weeks."

Logan Knott and Jonathan Staff both posted convincing 6-0, 6-0 singles wins while Alan Gardiner won his match 6-1, 6-1.

With the fall season now complete Mican is excited for the future. "This team has depth and with the guys competing for playing time, the level of play for everyone will definitely improve."
