LOUISVILLE, Ky. --- A trio of Bellarmine University field hockey stars have picked up awards from the Independent Schools Alliance on Monday as Alexis Van Wallaghen was named Rookie of the Year with juniors Rachael McAllister and Kelcie Hill picking up all-league honors.

Van Wallaghen shared the team lead in 2012 in goals scored with six, including one game winner. An Assumption High School product, she started 12 games while ranking fourth on the team in minutes played. A forward, she scored a pair of goals in the Knights loss to No. 7 Kutztown and played all 70 minutes of BU's 2-0 win over Mercy, scoring on a penalty stroke.

Hill was the catalyst of Bellarmine's defense that posted a 2.0 goals against average.
