LOUISVILLE, Ky. --- Recently the Bellarmine University dance team took some time to give back to the local community by volunteering at the Barton House.

A residential facility that houses those suffering memory impairments, most notably Alzheimer's disease, the Barton House is home to 20 occupants.

Members of the dance team brought holiday cheer to the home by visiting and talking with residents while decorating Christmas cookies. The team also has been collecting socks to donate to the home.

The dance team's service is in conjunction with BU's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee's (SAAC) movement to achieve greatness not only in the classroom and playing fields, but also throughout the community.
