The senior Meyer pitched all 11 innings to outlast USI freshman pitcher Brooke Harmening to earn her 39th career victory, scattering nine hits while striking out a pair. Freshman Hannah Daunhauer supplied the game-winning hit, singling up the middle to bring in Brown.

The play was set up by back-to-back-to-back singles by Brown, Megan Murdoch, and Madi Ratliff to load the basses with no outs in the 11th.

Harmening was dialed in to start the game, holding the Knights hitless through the games' first 5.0 innings, allowing only two walks. Freshman Kayla Padgett would break up the no-hit bid, hitting a single down the right field line that stayed just fair.
