STARKVILLE, Miss. ---The postseason honors continue to roll in for Bellarmine University softball players Megan Murdoch and Lauren Summe as both were named to the second team All-Midwest Region by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association on Thursday afternoon.

The NFCA regional honors are the second for both players after being previously named to Daktronics' All-Midwest team earlier in the week.

Murdoch slugged her way into the Bellarmine record books this season, setting new single-season school records for home runs (13) and RBIs (52). She ranked in the Great Lakes Valley Conference's top-5 in five offensive categories including being second with 74 hits.

Hitting .365 from the plate, Summe led the Knights with 39 runs scored this year. She started all 61 games at first base where she owned a .986 fielding percentage, committing just seven errors in 503 chances.

Murdoch and Summe helped the Knights to a 32-29 record, tying the single-season record for wins in a season.
