LOUISVILLE, Ky.—The Bellarmine University lacrosse program has landed a recruiting class of 10 incoming freshmen and one transfer for the 2012-13 season.   It marks the first recruiting class for Bellarmine Head Coach Kevin Burns, who was hired just before the beginning of the 2011-12 school year.

“We are extremely excited to welcome the class of 2016 to Bellarmine University,” Burns said. “Although only freshmen, we anticipate that many of these players will contribute immediately all over the field. With 31 players graduating between the 2012 and 2013 seasons, this current crop of Knights will be the basis for all of our future success," Burns said.

Burns added, “It's a fun experience to watch these young men from all over North America integrate into a very diverse team that has players from 15 states and four Canadian providences. “

The 2012-13 recruiting class:

Brebber is a transfer student and was until now attending Vancouver Island University in British Columbia where they do not have a field lacrosse program.  He is a standout player for the Victoria Shamrocks of the British Columbia Junior Lacrosse League and should have an immediate impact on the Knights.
