DANVILLE, Ky.--The Bellarmine Women's tennis team successfully competed at the Centre College tournament this Saturday and came away with 14 wins out of the 18 matches played.  

Bellarmine hightlights fromt he tourney included:

• Freshman Caitlin Hanley and sophomore Evann Waschuk won the number one doubles flight
• Junior Kelly Hollingsworth and Senior Hannah-Rose Hagan took the number two doubles flight
• Freshman Michelle McFerran captured the number one singles bracket
• Senior Abby Day won the title at the number six singles spot. 

"The conditions were perfect and all the girls played excellent tennis," said Bellarmine Coach John Mican. "Even in the matches we lost we fought extremely hard with two of those matches going to third set tie-breakers."

Hannah-Rose Hagan has started  the season on a tear, winning six of her seven matches and moves into eighth place on the all-time wins list passing Jade Best (07) with 75 total wins.  "It's exciting to see Hannah playing such inspired tennis."
