LOUISVILLE, Ky. - - The Bellarmine Women's Golf team volunteered for The First Tee organization Wednesday, Sept. 4th at Seneca Park.

The First Tee is an international youth development organization that introduces the game of golf and its inherent values to young people, through after school and in school programs. They help shape the lives of young people from all walks of life by reinforcing values like integrity, respect and perseverance through the game of golf.

Around 50 kids, from the ages of five to 12 years old, came out to participate in The First Tee at Seneca Park Golf course. "We helped the kids in several aspects of golf as well helped them learn some life skills," said Leah Pehlke.  "The team was very excited to spread their love for the game to young, aspiring golfers. We are looking forward to more opportunities to spread the love for the game."

Bellarmine Athletics has always strived to provide opportunities for our student-athletes to grow, and enrich their talents in the area of leadership and community service.

Bellarmine University is proud of our student-athletes as they continue to shine not only on the field and in our classrooms, but throughout our community.
