INDIANAPOLIS – Drury University senior Erin Dolan and Bellarmine University senior Nora Bowe were selected Wednesday as the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, respectively.

Dolan recorded a first-place finish in the 5,000 meters at the Mizzou Collegiate Challenge last week with a school-record time of 17:25.13, which shattered the previous program best of 18:48.58, set by Melissa Hollon in 2012.  Her time converted to 17:17.19, an NCAA provisional effort that places her second in the GLVC and 21st nationally.  The Lincoln, Neb., native also placed second in the mile with a time of 5:16.27.

This is the first career indoor award for Dolan and it's the first time a Panther standout has ever been recognized by the conference in indoor track and field.  The last Drury track and field star honored by the GLVC was Emilie Gray, who was named the Field Athlete of the Week on both April 10 and April 24 during the 2012 outdoor campaign.

Bowe won two events and was runner-up in a third this past week at the DePauw Classic.  She set an NCAA provisional mark of 1.66 meters in winning the high jump and lowered her school record in winning the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 9.18.  The Geneva, Ill., native is tops among all high jumpers in the conference and is tied for 26th nationally.

This is the first weekly honor of Bowe's career and the first for a Knight since Mariah Schwenk earned Field Athlete of the Week accolades on Feb. 8, 2012.
