EVANSVILLE, Ind.--The Bellarmine University women's tennis team dropped all three doubles matches, but roared back with five wins in singles to pull out a 5-4 victory over the University of Southern Indiana in a Great Lakes Valley Conference match on Saturday.
Bellarmine's
Abby Dorton nailed down the decisive fifth point in her match at No. 6 singles by pulling out a three-set victory 7-6, 3-6, 6-2.
The Knights got victories at Nos. 1, 2 and 3 to pull even, and
Jamie Claeys seured the win at No. 5 singles.
Bellarmine improves to a perfect 3-0 in GLVC play and 11-5 overall. USI falls to 7-5, 2-1 GLVC.
Next up for the Knights will be another GLVC match against St. Joseph's on April 5.
