The Bellarmine University women's soccer team opted for a familiar and dear project for the Knights' SAAC Challenge task. For the third year, the team donated gently used soccer equipment to the Guatemala mission trip. Senior Jessie York, a Bellarmine defender, traveled overseas and got a hands-on experience with the project. Junior Maura Gorman, a midfielder for the Knights and SAAC committee member, said the Knights were "thrilled" about once again participating in the project. Noted Gorman: "It is our honor and obligation as student-athletes to do our part in sharing the game that we love with aspiring athletes all over the world. Every girl on the team contributed something, and we were able to give more this year than any previous year. We hope that our contribution can make even a small difference in helping children in Guatemala to play the game that we love!"
