Spring break proved to be about giving as much as taking a recess from classes for the Bellarmine University dance team. Over the break, the Knights dancers for their SAAC Challenge project spent a day volunteering with adults with physical or developmental disabilities at Kaleidoscope, Inc. Younger Adult Day Health Center in Louisville. According to its website, Kaleidoscope serves to "provide a safe environment while enhancing daily lives and encouraging independence with quality services and educational resources." The team performed dance routines for the organization's participants, taught them a dance ditty and chatted with them. Said freshman dancer
Mackenzie McIntyre: "The people at Kaleidoscope were so excited to see the dancers and get a chance to dance with them. The girls on the team had a fun day as well enjoying the upbeat spirit of everyone at Kaleidoscope."
