The Bellarmine University men's soccer team's spring season has included almost as much community service work as soccer. Most recently the Knights hosted a free youth clinic at Owsley B. Frazier Stadium as part of their SAAC Challenge project. They provided instruction in a variety of different skills for members of the Louisville Soccer Association. Said sophomore midfielder and SAAC representative
J.D. Hawkins: "As collegiate student-athletes, we've been given the opportunity to continue playing the sport that we love and giving back to the community, by teaching younger players, served as a humbling reminder of why we do what we do." It was the second clinic that the men's team conducted this year to give back to the Louisville soccer community. This past fall, the Knights hosted a free clinic for students from Blue Lick Elementary School.
