Personal instruction and charity work were in tandem for the Bellarmine men's and women's tennis teams' SAAC Challenge project. The Knights' tennis squads hosted a fundraiser for Louisville's Make-A-Wish Foundation in which juniors and adults of all ages were invited to the Eddie Webber Tennis Complex on campus to play for the cause. The teams organized games, tennis sessions and music, with all proceeds from the function going to Make-A-Wish, which, according to its website, "serves a unique, and vital, role in helping strengthen and empower children battling life-threatening medical conditions." Said junior
Elizabeth Crush, vice president of the SAAC: "Everyone who participated got to work individually with a Bellarmine player, which gave them each an individualized experience, and they not only had a good time, but became better tennis players in the process! This was such a successful event that the men's and women's teams are going to make this an annual event!"
