Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 EAST PEORIA, Ill.—The fourth-seeded Bellarmine Knights posted a 4-0 victory over the No. 9-ranked and top-seeded Indianapolis Greyhounds today to advance to the Championship Game of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament at Mizuno Field at the EastSide Centre.

It was the second time Bellarmine shutout the Greyhounds in the tourney and was their fourth victory in six games against the highly ranked UIndy squad.  Bellarmine got a complete-game one hitter from reigning GLVC Player of the Year Ally Foster and a clutch two-run double from Kayla Padgett to earn the win.  Bellarmine also got a two-run homer from Olivia Russell (her first collegiate home run) to help ensure the victory.

Foster kept the Greyhounds off-pace the entire game, and faced the minimum 15 batters through the first five innings en route to her 18th victory of the season, which ties for second most in school history.

The Knights improve to 37-15 on the year while UIndy drops to 42-11.

Bellarmine advances to face Missouri-St. Louis tomorrow (Sunday) in the GLVC Championship game at 11 a.m. (noon EDT). If the Knights win, a second game would be played to determine the champion in the double-elimination tournament.

Earlier on Saturday, The Knights dropped a 3-2 decision to the Tritons in the finals of the "winners bracket."  Missouri St.-Louis connected on a pair of homers to drive in all three of their runs while the Knights got a solo homer from Kelsey Hicks and unearned run but came up a run short against reigning GLVC Pitcher of the Year  Hannah Perryman, who rang up 14 strikeouts while registering a  3-hit, complete game victory for the Tritons.

Tomorrow's championship will mark just the second appearance by Bellarmine in the GLVC title game, the last coming in 1995.
