LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Last Friday, the Bellarmine University women's soccer team participated in "I Love to Read Day" at Frayser Elementary School in Louisville as part of its SAAC project.
The Knights went in shifts from 10 a.m. thru 3 p.m. to read to different classes as individuals or in pairs. They also answered questions about being a collegiate athlete and the importance of reading and academic progress in allowing them that opportunity.
In addition, they gave a mini-soccer ball to each class to give as a prize to a deserving student or to keep for the class for recess.
