LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Bellarmine University baseball team knows a thing or two about the importance of field maintenance.
So, in the fall, the Knights completed a community service project in which they performed maintenance tasks at Jeff/GRC Little League in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
With the little league's fall season having ended, the Knights helped prepare the park for the winter with tasks such as removing signage and trash removal.
"Our team volunteered to do this to show support for the local baseball programs," senior third baseman and SAAC representative
Cole Metcalfe said. "Since this was a physically difficult project, we knew this would be a great way to use our strengths to help our community."
