LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Bellarmine University field hockey team walked in the Louisville Best Buddies Friendship Walk for the second year in a row on Mar. 25 at the Louisville Waterfront Park. The team raised awareness to end social, physical and economic isolation of millions of people with mental and developmental disabilities.
The Knights showed their support by dressing up in Hawaiian shirts and dancing with children as they walked with their team banner held high.

Caroline Krill said participating in community-service projects reminds her team that they have the potential to make a difference in the lives of others.
"It was really special for me to see my teammates walking hand in hand with these kids," Krill said. "The kids we walked with were radiating with joy and smiles, and I think their positive attitudes are something my teammates and I learned a lot from."
