LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Bellarmine University swim program volunteered recently at the Louisville Derby Festival Marathon, raising money to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The Knights worked the pace divisions by guiding runners to their designated groups. The team also helped take down some equipment after the race had started.

The service project allowed the athletes to be a part of the Derby celebration outside of Churchill Downs. They were able to work with the community to help make the event run smoothly.

Athletes even got to see some of their fellow Bellarmine athletes, peers and professors during the start of the race.
