Fahey, Hulsman and Wall pick up postseason honors from SoCon

LOUISVILLE, Ky.—The 2018 All-Southern Conference Team was announced by the league office today, and three Bellarmine Knight standouts are among the honorees.  Defenseman Kevin Fahey and freshman goalie John Hulsman received first team accolades while Brian Wall made the second team at attack.

This is Fahey's second time to earn postseason honors from the SoCon, having picked up a second team nod in 2016.  Fahey, known as a lock-down defender,  finished the 2018 season with 12 caused turnovers and 24 ground balls.

Hulsman came on strong for the Knights, and finished the 2018 campaign as the Southern Conference leader in goals-against average (8.69), save percentage (58.9 %) and saves per game (12.56).  His 58.9 save percentage ranks second-best in school history, trailing only Dillon Ward's 66.2 percentage in 2013.

Wall was the Knights' leading scorer in 2018 with 29 goals and nine assists.  He ended his Bellarmine career ranking in the top 10 on the school's all-time list for points, goals and assists.
