LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Bellarmine University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee raised over $800 for the Family Scholar House.

SAAC challenged each of its representatives to collect $1 from each teammate to purchase Christmas presents for a family in need. Members of SAAC presented the gifts to the Family Scholar House, which then presented the gifts to the family.

"This truly brought our SAAC community together as we saw before our own eyes how just $1 could make a difference," junior swimmer Alexandra Scott said. "I am so grateful that I got to be a part of this effort to make a family's Christmas better. We sometimes forget how lucky we are but giving back around the holidays shows us how important the spirit of giving really is. I hope to be part of this experience again."
