LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Bellarmine University cheerleading team made birthday cards recently for Carter Matthew Willett (aka Courageous Carter), a 10-year-old who has been battling a rare form of cancer for the last year.

Carter, who is getting chemo treatments at Norton Children's Hospital, had a simple request for his 10th birthday, which was Oct. 17: birthday cards. The Knights obliged that request.
