LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Bellarmine University softball Knights teamed up recently with the university's physical therapy department to create a softball camp for children with disabilities.
In this interactive camp, the softball team taught the children how to throw and catch a softball as well as hit off tees and hit front toss. After teaching the campers how to play the game, the children were able to put their skills to the test and play a live game!
"It was fun and at times challenging but ultimately it was rewarding, as we saw children perform tasks they were previously not able to do prior to the camp," senior
Sabrina Fussenegger said.
