LOUISVILLE, Ky -- After watching all of the conference's tournaments unfold, the Bellarmine women's soccer team awaits to see if their goal of making it to the NCAA tournament will come true.
NCAA.com will provide a free webstream of the selection show on Monday, November 9, at 7 p.m. Eastern to announce the field of 48 teams to the national tournament.
The Knights finished the season third in the Midwest region with a 13-3-1 record. Bellarmine ended the regular season with a No. 20 national ranking before heading to conference post-season play.
Abby Schuhmann was chosen for Defensive Player of the Year honors along with 1st team All GLVC. Amanda Moore, Lauren Triplett, and Cristina Fugedy were chosen for 2nd team All GLVC.
The defensive line for the Knight's this fall have allowed is nine goals, beating our old season record by eight which was first set in 2002 and then repeated in 2008.
The women's soccer team will gather tonight to watch if they will send Bellarmine soccer to the NCAA tournament for the first time in its 20 year campaign.
