Rebecca Porter and Emily Roebker downed UMSL's Pujitha Bandi and Stephanie Thompson by a score of 8-3. Elizabeth Bohnert paired with Sarah Roebker to tumble Altanzul Gombo and Leticia Garcia by an 8-1 margin.

The Knights built upon their lead by winning four of the six singles matches, resulting in the final 6-3 margin. Porter topped Bandi 6-1, 6-0. S. Roebker outlasted Thompson 7-6 (10-3), 6-3. Bohnert beat Gombo 6-1, 7-5. And E. Roebker vanquished Garcia 6-1, 6-1.

WOMEN'S BOX SCORE

The men of Bellarmine didn't fare as well today in their match with the Tritons.

The Knights lost all three doubles matches to start the day in a 3-0 hole. They were unable to make much headway in the singles competition as they managed only two wins out of the six matches.

Sathi Reddy defeated Tim Bryant 7-6, 6-4 at the five spot, while Todd Atcher downed Maor Grinas 6-3, 6-0 at the number six singles.

Even though they lost, and their record sits at 6-8 (4-3 GLVC), the Knights have clinched a berth in the GLVC tourney. With the win, the Tritons pushed their record to 3-10 (2-5 GLVC). The men of Bellarmine will play again on Tuesday, April 13, when they hit the road to play Indiana University Southeast.

Both the men's and the women's squads will be in action at home on Friday, April 17, as the University of Indianapolis comes to town for a conference showdown.
