INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.--The Bellarmine and Wayne State men's tennis teams met halfway to compete in dual match in Indianapolis today, and the 38th-ranked Warriors recorded an 8-1 victory over the Knights.
Jacob Knagenhjelm and
Carlos Antonioli accounted for Bellarmine's lone win at number one doubles then both put up tough fights in their singles matches before falling, Knagenhjelm in a third set super tie-break 10-8.
"We matched up well in the doubles, winning at one and being up 6-3 at three before Wayne State won the final 5 games to win 8-6," said Bellarmine Coach
John Mican.
The Bellarmine netters return to action on Saturday (Feb. 19) with a home dual match against Georgetown College at 11 a.m.
