LOUISVILLE, Ky.--The newly crowned GLVC champion Bellarmine Knights were awarded the No. 1 seed of the Midwest Region in the 2011 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship tourney. The regional will be held March 12, 13 and 15 in Knights Hall.
The Midwest Regional field will be familiar to Knights fans as five of the eight competing teams are members of the East Division of the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Bellarmine will open play Saturday night at 6 p.m. against the University of Indianapolis, who received the No. 8 seed.
The complete first round matchups:
Noon: No. 3 Wayne State vs. No. 6 Ferris State
2:30 p.m.: No. 2 Southern Indiana vs. No. 7 Drury
6 p.m.: No. 1 Bellarmine vs. No. 8 Indianapolis
8:30 p.m.: No. 4 Northern Kentucky vs. No. 5 Kentucky Wesleyan
Sunday's regional semifinal games will be played at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Tuesday's final will tip at 7 p.m.
TICKET UPDATE (March 9, 4 p.m.):
Bellarmine University has sold its entire allotment of tickets for Session 2 of Saturday's men's NCAA Division II Midwest Regional at Knights Hall. Session 2 opens with Bellarmine taking on the University of Indianapolis at 6 p.m. and concludes with Northern Kentucky facing Kentucky Wesleyan.

BELLARMINE TO SELL "FILL-IN" TICKETS FOR NKU-KWC
In response to great demand, officials at Bellarmine University announced today that they will be selling “fill-in” tickets for second game of the second session of the men's NCAA Midwest Regional basketball game at Knights Hall on Saturday night. The second game of the evening session features Northern Kentucky playing Kentucky Wesleyan.
“Fill-in” tickets will be sold when ticket holders for the first game leave the arena, thereby forfeiting their seats for the remainder of the session.
All “Fill-in” tickets are $10 and will only be sold at the Knights Hall box office after a capacity exists in the arena.
Ticket prices are $12 reserved, $10 general admission and $5 for students.
