Dana Neichter, a former member of the Bellarmine University dance team, returns this season as an assistant with the dance program of the Knights. Previously, Neichter assistant coached for the Knights for two seasons, and helped lead them to their first National Championship in 2015.
Before coming to coach for Bellarmine, Neichter danced for 17 years, including four years at the collegiate level at BU. While at BU, she was named an All-American by NDA, and also helped the BU dance team make history with third- and fourth-place finishes at nationals.
In addition to the dance team, Neichter's background includes 13 years of studio training. She taught tap, jazz, ballet and hip-hop for students ranging ages 5-12 at Ellen's School of Dance. She was the head dance team coach for the Carrithers Middle School Cobras.
Neichter received her bachelor's degree in education and is currently teaching eighth grade social studies at Noe Middle School, where she is head coach of the Dance Team (effective August, 2016).
