CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. — Austin Peay scored 14 runs in the sixth inning alone in defeating the Bellarmine University baseball team 25-4 in Sunday's ASUN series finale at Raymond C. Hand Park.
Austin Peay (12-16, 5-4 ASUN) captured the series after winning the final two games. The Governors piled up 22 hits in the finale against Bellarmine (8-20, 3-6).
The Knights racked up 11 hits in the seven-inning affair and held a 3-1 lead after three innings. However, Austin Peay scored six runs in the fourth and three in the fifth before the 14-run onslaught in the sixth.
