CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The Bellarmine University wrestling team proved unbeatable in day two of the NWCA National Duals, taking home first place.
 
Following a 3-0 day one, the Knights rolled through the competition on day two for another 3-0 effort. With the 6-0 weekend under the team's belt, Bellarmine moves to 10-0 on the season.
 
In match one of the day, Bellarmine routed University of Dubuque 54-6. Next up on the slate, the Knights battled Liberty to come away with a 44-12 victory, the team's smallest margin of victory in the tournament. In the final match of the weekend, Bellarmine rolled over Newport News Apprentice School 49-6 to complete the sweep and take home first place.
 
After winning via technical fall in all three of his bouts on day one, Redshirt freshman Grant O'Dell (165) brought home three more tech fall wins, finishing with a tournament-high 6. Junior Cole Nance (174) added two more pins to his stat sheet, finishing with a tournament-high 5 while redshirt sophomores Sam Schroeder (184) and Zac Cowan (149) finished the event with five combined pins/falls each, tying for second across the tournament with Nance and Newport News Apprentice School's Jordan Robins.
 
Of the 24 points Bellarmine gave up in day two, just six came via a losing decision, the only loss the team took in the tournament.
