LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Twelve Bellarmine University student-athletes have been named to College Sports Communicators' Academic All-District Teams, the organization has announced. Bellarmine placed six each on the Women's At-Large Team and the Men's At-Large Team.
The following student-athletes were honored on the Women's At-Large Team, listed with their sport and major:
- Maria Bonwell, field hockey, foreign language & economics
- Alicia Hudson, field hockey,, psychology
- Bente Moormann, field hockey, business administration
- Kailey Workman, field hockey, biochemistry and molecular biology
- Lauren Stewart, women's golf, business administration
- Presli Webb, women's golf, sports administration
The following student-athletes were honored on the Men's At-Large team, listed with their sport and major:
- John Alie, lacrosse, finance
- Aidan Fearn, lacrosse, economics
- Justin Wescoat, lacrosse, business administration
- Ben Wulkopf, men's golf, finance
- Andrew Liber, wrestling, marketing
- Jack Parker, wrestling, exercise science
Some of the primary parameters of being eligible for CSC Academic All-District Team consideration are a minimum 3.5 GPA plus appearing in a minimum of 90 percent, or starting in at least 66 percent, of the team's games in lacrosse and field hockey and competing in at least 70 percent of events in golf and wrestling.
