LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Bellarmine University women's tennis team fell 4-0 in both matches of a doubleheader at Kentucky on Wednesday at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex.
In match one, Kentucky secured a quick win in the third doubles flight but had to work to clinch the point. Junior

Gracie Hurley took the Wildcats to the wire in flight two, narrowly dropping a 7-6 (7-5) bout. Senior
Vendula Kryslova and sophomore
Reese Parker were up 6-5 in their match in flight one but didn't get to finish due to the point being clinched.
The Wildcats earned three wins in the first four singles matches to take the overall match 4-0. After losing the first set, Hurley rallied back to win the second 6-3 but was unable to finish due the match point clinch.
In the second match, Kentucky easily secured the doubles point with victories in flights one and two. The Wildcats continued to flourish with three wins on courts one, five and six to take the match 4-0. Junior
Marika Caruk won the second set of her singles match but didn't have the chance to finish the third.
Up next, Bellarmine returns home to the Eddie Weber Tennis Complex to host Marian University (IN) on Friday, February 20.
