Bellarmine University Athletics

FUTURE KNIGHTS

We are excited that you are considering joining the great tradition of Bellarmine athletics. To make your journey toward becoming a student-athlete as smooth as possible, we want you to be aware of how the recruitment and admission process works.  In addition to reading the information on our web site and the helpful links below, please be sure to take a moment and read the NCAA Guide for the College-Bound Student-Athlete.  You can always contact Melanie Brunsdon with any questions related to initial eligibility.

At the beginning of your junior year, complete your registration with the NCAA Eligibility Center at www.eligibilitycenter.org.  Additionally, you should register to take the ACT, SAT or both and use the NCAA Eligibility Center code "9999" as a score recipient.  Doing this sends your score directly to the NCAA Eligibility Center.  Double-check to make sure the courses you have taken match your school's list of NCAA courses.  At the end of your junior year, be sure to ask your high school counselor to send an official transcript to the NCAA Eligibility Center.  If you have attended more than one high school, the NCAA Eligibility Center will need official transcripts from all high schools attended.  (The NCAA Eligibility Center does NOT accept faxed transcripts or test scores.)

The next step is to apply to Bellarmine University early in your senior year.

Be sure to review your amateurism responses and request final amateurism certification from the NCAA Eligibility Center on or after April 1 (for fall enrollees) or October 1 (for spring enrollees).  Please click here for information on how to request final amateurism.

You’ll also need to be sure your high school sends your final transcript and proof of graduation to the Eligibility Center after you graduate.
