Seth Sweet-Chick

Seth Sweet-Chick joined the Bellarmine University baseball staff as a graduate assistant prior to the 2026 season after completing his collegiate playing career with the Knights.

An infielder, Sweet-Chick transferred to Bellarmine for the 2025 campaign and appeared in 47 games with 44 starts. He ranked second on the team in homers (seven), fourth in RBI (26) and fifth in slugging percentage (.430) while being an ASUN Honor Roll recipient.

Sweet-Chick is the son of Rick Sweet, a longtime manager in the minor leagues who is the current skipper of the Milwaukee Brewers’ Triple-A affiliate, the Nashville Sounds, and who managed the Cincinnati Reds’ Triple-A affiliate, the Louisville Bats, from 2005-11.

Sweet-Chick played his freshman and sophomore seasons at Kansas University, his junior year at the University of Nevada and his senior season at Cumberland (Tenn.) University before playing a fifth season at Bellarmine. At Kansas, he was named to the 2022 Academic All-Big 12 Second Team and the 2020-21 Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team.

Sweet-Chick attended high school at Estrella Foothills in Arizona and was ranked the No. 9 player in Arizona by Perfect Game. He was an All-State infielder and also served as a quarterback and kicker of the football team his senior year.
