Flannery Musk Wells, a former All-GLVC and All-Midwest Region runner at Bellarmine University, joined the women's cross country and women's track and field staffs as an assistant prior to the 2019-20 school year.
As a senior in 2015, Flannery placed fifth at the GLVC Cross Country Championships while earning her second straight All-GLVC accolade. She followed that up by racing to 13th at the NCAA Midwest Regional, which netted her All-Region plaudits. Musk wrangled a berth to the NCAA Championships and placed 46th at the event. In her junior season in 2014, Flannery garnered her first All-GLVC acknowledgement after placing fourth at the GLVC Championships.
In the 2015 outdoor season, Flannery reaped All-GLVC honors in the 1500 meters, a repeat of the same accomplishment in 2013. In addition, she gained All-GLVC notice in the indoor distance medley relay in 2014. Musk was an academic All-GLVC mainstay in her time at Bellarmine.
Following her graduation from Bellarmine, Flannery was a high school math teacher. She earned her master's degree in December of 2021 and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in mathematics at the University of Louisville. She also serves as a adjunct faculty member in Bellarmine's mathematics department.
