AURORA, Ill.—The Bellarmine University volleyball team will step out of conference for three matches at the Mizuno Midwest Region Crossover Tournament on Oct. 14 and 15.
The tourney, the nation's largest collegiate volleyball tournament with 36 NCAA Division II programs participating, will be played at the Great Lakes Center in Aurora, Illinois. Mizuno will once again serve as the title sponsor for the regional volleyball event, which will pit 16 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) volleyball teams against 15 institutions representing the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC), and five programs from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC).
Bellarmine, which got the GLVC's No. 13 seed, will open the competition in the tourney's first session at 12:30 PM (EDT) against Ashland, the No. 11 seed from the GLIAC.
The Knights will return in session three, which is scheduled for a 6:30 PM (EDT) start, against the GLIAC's No. 17 seed, the Lakers of Lake Superior State University.
On Saturday, Bellarmine has just one match as they square off against Ohio Dominican at 2 p.m. (EDT). The Panthers are the GLIAC's No. 14 seed.
Live stats will be available for all three of Bellarmine's matches on the Bellarmine athletics
