ST. CHARLES, Mo.—The Bellarmine volleyball team slid another match into the left-hand column to improve to 17-8 on the season by turning back the host Lindenwood Lions 3-1 (25-22, 25-17, 18-25, 25-11) in a Great Lakes Valley Conference match on Friday night.
 
Again, Bellarmine freshman Jayme Scott had a big-time performance, leading the Knights in kills and digs with 20 and 12 respectively. 
 
As a team, Bellarmine enjoyed a solid hitting night with an attack percentage of .314. While Scott hit .366 on 41 total attacks, her classmate, Ashley Price was successful on half of her 20 attacks to rack up 10 kills and a .450 hitting percentage. Sophomore Julia Dailey was the most efficient on the night, recording nine kills on just 13 swings for an attack percentage of .538. Junior Izzie Salameh added seven kills with a.357 hitting percentage.
 
Although Lindenwood entered the match with two of the top servers in the league, it was Bellarmine that enjoyed the superior service game tonight.  The Knights recorded eight aces with just five errors while the Lions committed 12 service errors while tallying just three aces.
 
Bellarmine improves to 17-8 on the season and moved into a four-way for third in the GLVC with a 7-3 league record. The Lions fell to 10-12, 1-9 GLVC.
 
The Knights take on Missouri-St. Louis at 4 p.m. (3 p.m. CT) on Saturday.  The Tritons also won on Friday and are part of the tie for third in the GLVC with a 7-3 mark.
